Dr. Robert E. Maloney |
Dr.
Maloney was born in 1945 in Syracuse, New York, the youngest of
eight children. He attended Niagara University, in Niagara Falls,
New York, for his undergraduate and graduate studies, receiving a
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1967, and a Masters of
Science in Biochemistry in 1969. In 1969 he married Judith Abramson.
The couple now have three sons: David, Ryan and Loren. Following
graduate school, Dr. Maloney attended Medical School at the
University of Louvain, in Belgium, where he became fluent in French
and received his M.D. in 1978.Dr. Maloney then trained in Internal Medicine at Worcester City Hospital, in Worcester, Massachusetts from 1978 to 1981. While at Worcester City Hospital, Dr. Maloney was Chief Medical Resident from 1981 through 1982. Following his stint at Worcester City Hospital, Dr. Maloney became board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, and opened his private practice. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Maloney moved his practice to 7 Bellevue Street in Worcester, Massachusetts and began purchasing laboratory equipment that would enable him to provide on-site diagnostic testing for his patients. When his practice outgrew the Bellevue Street office in 1989, Dr. Maloney purchased a medical building at 385 Grove Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. As his practice continued to grow, he brought on associates, and continued adding diagnostic equipment to provide a "one-stop shopping" experience for his patients. In 1995, a new wing was added to the medical building at 385 Grove Street, more than doubling the available space. In addition to providing his patients with the highest possible medical care, Dr. Maloney's other interests include hunting, fishing, snow skiing, and gardening. |
